Tzalam Turning Square (18" x 1-1/2" x 1-1/2")

INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). Tzalam is a tropical wood found in many areas of Central America. Its trade names include: Tzalam, Mayan Walnut, tropical Walnut and others. The wood is slightly denser than Mahogany and works and glues similarly to Red Oak. Colors range from Chocolate browns to tans with occasional black stripes. Some blanks resemble Hawaiian koa so closely that educated wood nuts can even be fooled! This blank is wax sealed either completely or on the ends only and contains residual moisture. A slight end or edge check may be present. Size may vary +/- 1/8".
