When you return an item, you lose the associated credit you originally earned by buying the item in the first place.
Sound kind of confusing? Let's take an example: let's say you had previously spent $50 towards a 'spend $100, earn 500 points' promotion, and you decide to buy a $20 item, which bumps you up to $70. If you decide to return that item, your progress would also go back down to $50 – it's just like you hadn't bought the item in the first place.

Then, depending on how much you spend in a year period, you can earn more rewards than our standard 5 pts. to $1.00 ratio. Our VIP Tiers include something called a "Multiplier" which simply means the number you use to multiply x the 5 pts. per $1.00 spent. Confused? No problem! We'll explain it in simple terms:

UNDER $250 (spent in a 12 month period) = YOU EARN 5 PTS. FOR EVERY $1.00 SPENT
CONGRATS! AT THIS POINT YOU BECOME A VIP
SILVER - OVER $250 (Spent in a 12 month period) = YOU EARN 6 PTS. FOR EVERY $1.00 SPENT
GOLD - OVER $499 (Spent in a 12 month period) = YOU EARN 6.5 PTS. FOR EVERY $1.00 SPENT
