Extra Fancy Silver Wattle Turning Blank

This Silver Wattle wood was cut from two very large logs that had a good amount of color and fiddleback. The wood is ideal for twice turning bowls. Freshly cut in June of 2024, blanks are fully wax sealed. A minor end or edge check may be present. Some blanks have spalting which can be stable or soft in areas, but can easily be stabilized with CA glue or other stabilization methods. We have cut the majority of soft spalting off of the blanks and generally the soft areas will turn away if used for bowls. Silver Wattle is easy to work and takes a good finish!
