Blue Pine Vessel Blank

This beautiful Blue Pine wood has exceptional blue stain that will make your woodturning projects stand out! Air dried for 1 year in log form, this blank contains moisture and should be twice turned for optimal results. The wood has been completely wax sealed. Over time the wax may develop bumps as the wood continues to age and spalt. This blank may contain a minor end check or knot. Blue Pine works best with sharp tools, yielding projects that are smooth with the use of several progressions of sandpaper. A beeswax finish is lovely on this species. This piece has bug holes.
