Leopardwood Turning Square (18" x 2" x 2")

INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). Leopardwood, Roupala montana, is a medium to dense hardwood from Central and South America with somewhat coarse texture and unique patterns. Rich reddish brown color accents grayish colored flecks that resemble the spots of a leopard. Leopardwood is moderately difficult to work because of the density and possible tearout when planed, but it glues and finishes well. This exotic hardwood yields high quality woodworking projects. This blank is air dried and contains some residual moisture. This blank is unsurfaced. Size may vary +/- 1/8".
