Lustrous Iridescent Sipo
Sipo is an unusual species from Equatorial West Africa. Normally it does not contain figure; this was a rare log that produced extraordinary lumber. Quarter and rift sawn wood has beautiful ribbon figure with a mixture of light fiddleback. Flat sawn boards may also have some light fiddlback. Boards have dark pecky character when noted. Wood colors ranges from reds to browns with some lustrous golden tones. Sipo is slightly denser than most Mahoganies and can produce a wonderful smooth finish. It is suitable for turning, carving, boxes, furniture, cabinets, and more. There is a very limited amount available for this special so order quickly to get your desired sizes! All boards are Kiln dried and surfaced on two sides.
