Cedar of Lebanon, Cedrus libani, is a beautiful tree with heights up to 120 ft. and a large wide canopy. This is a beautiful species that is considered to be one of the first trees and is described as "strong and durable, graceful and beautiful, high and tall, and fragrant." This species is a member of the pine family and is native to the Eastern Mediterranean basin. It is commonly referred to in the bible and was used in the beams for Solomon's temple and again for the rebuilding of the temple after Israel returned from exile in Babylon.
