Collection: Almond Burl

Almond burl is an exceptionally rare burl from Laos that contains vivid, rich colors and wildly intricate figure! As rare as Amboyna with many of the same attributes, this wood is dense and takes a smooth natural finish when turned. Trees average 2-3 ft. in diameter and heights can exceed 80 ft. Natural inclusions are normal for the species and can be filled with crushed minerals and epoxy. This beautiful hardwood takes a lovely high polish and can be utilized in many woodworking applications.
