Dalbergia Stevensonii,Rosul is also called Honduras Rosewood and Guatamalan Cocobolo. It is a rare wood on the World Market. As is true of Rosewoods, Rosul has excellent acoustic properties with well-balanced highs & lows. Rosul / Honduras Rosewood is favored for Marimba bars. Colors range from purple to light violets & golden light reds. The wood works well and finishes to a high natural polish. For a period of time, it was considered the only suitable Brazilian Rosewood substitute. We have a very limited amount available.
