A great North American hardwood with excellent woodworking properties, Birch wood is bright, clean, and beautiful in appearance. The specific gravity is .72 and is lends itself to a wide variety of uses such as furniture, doors, flooring, cabinets, boxes, toys and more! The native Americans in the Eastern US and Canada made arrow shafts from Birch. Occasionally the lumber has flamed or curly grain. The easy workability and finishing of this species make it an American classic! This high quality material has beautiful curly grain and varying shades of color. It is kiln dried and surfaced on two sides. Bookmatched pieces will commonly have 1/32” to ⅛” cup. This clean material is begging for your next project!
