Argentine Mesquite, a rare species to the USA, is native to Argentina and its surrounding countries. The tree is shrub-like in appearance and grows 20-30 feet tall, producing  lumber that is 2-5 feet long and 3-8 inches wide. The sapwood will commonly turn yellow and often contains pin holes. This dense hardwood works well and has many uses for high end jewelry boxes, furniture, and flooring
